Heat Soaked Glass

Short Description:

Nobler Heat Soak Glass is manufactured by heat soaking process. After installation, without any apparent cause, tempered glass is broken, called “Spontaneous breakage”. This is because of the NIS(Nickel Sulphide) contents in the glass.

Through heat soaking, tempered glass exposed to the furnace, where temperature is elevated to around 280℃~320℃. When all the glass in the furnace reached the temperature around 280℃, the heat soak process started. Under such temperature, NIS expansion accelerated, tempered glass contains NIS inclusion would break in the furnace, then reduce the potential breakage.

But please note, heat soaking processing couldn’t guarantee the 100% elimination of potential spontaneous breakage.

Features

Application

China heat soaked glass can be used in a wide range of applications, especially the place where need lower self-explosion rate of glass, such as commercial buildings, windows and doors, skylights, partitions, handrails, overhead glazing, etc.
